Glad things are looking up for the UK. Can't understand sometimes when people seek to knock the country of their birth / where they grew up etc just because they've moved overseas. At the end of the day we all still have family friends back in the UK, so why wouldn't we want it to thrive, regardless of where we are now.

Same here, I don't live in the UK but when i see the resilience and intuitive by the British people in these tough times it give me hope for the future of the country.
Sometimes it takes hard times to how great a country really is.

That is all good news and there is in fact lots of good news, why some want to just fixate on the bad stuff to almost justify their move I really don't know.

The report found that of the companies surveyed, roughly 44 per cent have reported an increase in revenue from 2009. Additionally, 36 per cent said that revenues stayed the same over the year.
"2010 was certainly a challenging year for many UK businesses, and the fact that 44 per cent of SMBs managed to grow their revenue in that climate is testament to the heroic mentality of many smaller businesses," the company said

Its one of the things that made the country so great.

Isn't it funny just how much good positive news there is out there if you care to look. Seems so much better to focus on the positives, not ignore the negatives but not dwell on them totally.
