Hi lorraine so you live in nova scotia we too are really hoping to move to Canada. Keep looking at the different sites, novia scotia looks lovely, what is it like there do they still have tons of snow???Do you know if there is much work in construction there? As oh is in that industry.I see you keep having to return to the uk every 6 months that must be a pain, we will keep trying to get to canada as it sounds lovely there, ecspecially for children. A friend of ours left for Vancouver and he absolutely loves it. Fingers crossed that might be us soon....

Hi there Lorraine welcome to Canada.i just came back from a 2 month trip to England,it was my first trip there and I loved it,very friendly people.it was a nice change after living here all my life, can't wait to go back, rather missing it there now! i've been thinking i would like to try living there for a year or so,i have had enough of the cold, long winters here! i can relate to you about the food,i'm missing some of the food from there. i found a great website where you can order British food,it's called British Online Supermarket,it has everything you would find in your local supermarket back home, just wish i could order some of the local takeaway back in rochester, miss the pizza!

hi there del,i'm in central alberta and there is usually lots of work in construction around here but i have to warn you the winter months are awful, very long and very cold, with lots of snow.not sure about the other provinces in terms of construction work but the weather is basically the same everywhere with the exception of BC,it has mild winters, some places like Vancouver are quite rainy but it has some really beautiful places.
