Its David Camerons slogan, he got into power saying........... i want to fix Broken Briton' i think he is an idiot, but it got him votes and into power and now he is destroying thousands of peoples lives, the guy is a lizard and that Nick Clegg what a fool he is. Broken Briton, appears to be breaking up even more at present, not eveywhere, but surely it will get mended............... eventually.

Ah you mean Broken Britain. A Briton is someone from Britain, I assumed you meant you were broken.

The latest official employment figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) were released today.
Unemployment has reached a 17-year high, with youth joblessness also at record levels. During the three months to January, the total of those unemployed rose by 27,000 to 2.53 million - the highest figure since 1994 - and the number of jobless 16- to 24-year-olds climbed by 30,000 to 974,000 - the highest figure since 1992, when records began.
The increase takes the overall unemployment rate to 8% and the unemployment rate for those aged between 18 and 24 to 18.3%.

Yes I think it is fair to say that things in many areas will get a little tougher before they improve markedly. It's interesting that in our times of apparent boom in this country that youth unemployment is running at around 20%. Employers want people with experience but they can't gain experience without a job.
I have lived through recessions and high unemployment in both countries over the years, it's a never ending cycle.

I wonder if there is a correlation with the fact that the the population of the UK is also highest since records began and in labours final year immigration to the UK was also highest since records began.
it happens a lot everywhere in the world...

      I doubt it :dull:
People will still be packing out bluewater and lakeside, the cinimas will still be full of people laughing and joking, still plenty of good pubs left to cater for the drinkers and social minded.
Life will go on pea cock just like it always has.
